Terms & Conditions
1. Condition of Instrument at Drop-Off
All instruments are inspected upon arrival. The customer acknowledges that the condition of the instrument—including any existing damage, wear, cracks, fret wear, electronics issues, or cosmetic imperfections—will be noted at the time of check-in. Chapel Hill Guitar Repair is not responsible for any undisclosed or pre-existing issues that may become apparent during or after the repair process.
2. Repair Authorization
By leaving your instrument for service, you authorize Chapel Hill Guitar Repair to perform the agreed-upon work. Any additional repairs discovered during inspection will be discussed and approved by the customer before proceeding.
3. Liability
Every instrument is handled with the utmost care. However, Chapel Hill Guitar Repair cannot be held liable for damage caused by structural weaknesses, hidden defects, or prior poor repair work that may surface during normal handling or repair.
4. Strings and Parts
Unless otherwise specified, strings are not included in the restring price. All replacement parts, hardware, or components will be discussed with and approved by the customer before installation.
5. Completion and Pickup
Customers will be notified when their instrument is ready for pickup. Instruments not picked up within 30 days of completion may incur a storage fee. Instruments left over 90 days from the completion date may be considered abandoned and become the property of Chapel Hill Guitar Repair.
6. Payment
Payment is due upon completion of work. Chapel Hill Guitar Repair accepts cash, credit, or other approved payment methods. Instruments will not be released until payment is received in full.
7. Satisfaction Guarantee
Customer satisfaction is important to us. If you are not satisfied with the service, please contact us within 7 days of pickup. We will make every effort to address and resolve any reasonable concerns related to the completed work.
8. Environmental and Handling Factors
Guitars are sensitive to humidity and temperature. Chapel Hill Guitar Repair is not responsible for changes in setup, neck relief, or playability due to environmental shifts after pickup.
